Featured GPs and Practices

With hundreds of practices using our model across the UK, we've experienced many diverse places and populations. Every practice is unique - see how these three have changed in their own way.

Dr Maz Sangha

GP, St Johns Medical Centre

“Two months into askmyGP, the feedback from the patients has been very positive. To me, that is the most important thing.”

Dr Sue Arnott

GP, North Lanarkshire

“With askmyGP, I’m now able to be a single-hander and respond to all patient requests the same day.”

Dr Barry Sullman

GP, Plaistow, East London

"This is more than a demand management system, it's a system that empowers patients, clinicians and improves the quality of care which I am delivering to patients."

Patients

What the patients think

"Super service, quick and efficient. I like that I don't feel like I am taking up an appointment with something trivial."

"Its very user friendly and appointments are made for you so quickly when they are needed. Brilliant."

"I was pleasantly surprised how easy this service was and how quickly the response was."

"So much better for people like myself who during working hours only have access to a computer."

"Sceptical and reluctant to use at first, but good response time and no waiting trying to get through on a phone. Well done for the change."

"I was amazed and delighted at the speed of response."

"Very easy to use, quick response from my doctor, much easier than waiting in a call queue when telephoning for an appointment."

"I am happy to communicate out of hours by email and receive a non-urgent reply for such matters"

Evidence

All our work is evidence based, from experience with hundreds of GP practices since 2011

We regularly publish and present findings from our research databases of over 20 million consultation records (Navigator), 500,000 audit entries (Datalog), 20,000 patient surveys and more. We collaborate with leading universities including Cambridge and RAND Europe (Tele-First).

We are active members of the Society for Academic Primary Care and European Forum for Primary Care, and have presented at conferences run by BMA, RCGP, FMLM, King's Fund and NHS England.

We run no GP practices of our own and have no conflicts of interest through NHS roles. All our studies are published with the permission of independent originating practices.

Please enjoy and browse through some of our studies. We welcome comment, discussion, and suggestions for further work.
